Tetramer Technologies is proud to announce its new membership in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Industry Group.
CBRNE Industry Group is a non-profit association made up of 130 companies, not-for-profit organizations, and consultants who support national and international CBRNE defense activities. In addition to military defense against CBRNE weapons of mass destruction (WMD), the CBRNE Industry Group interests encompass domestic preparedness against WMDs, the Chemical Weapons Convention and other treaties. Member organizations also are actively involved in CBRNE programs that include destruction of WMDs around the world.
The CBRNE Industry Group functions as a bridge between industry players and governmental bodies responsible for CBRNE defense. Through this partnership, Tetramer gains access to valuable insights, networking opportunities, and engagement with decision-makers across U.S. Federal Departments, Police Forces, and First Responders.
Led by Principal Investigator, Heather Lange, Tetramer’s ongoing CBRNE research program is centered around the development of innovative adsorbent materials employing Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). These materials are designed to protect soldiers facing chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats. The MOF-based materials not only adsorb chemical warfare agents (CWAs) but also degrade them into non-toxic compounds upon contact. This technology holds promise for both military protective gear and civilian applications like industrial protective wear. This program is funded in part by the US Department of Defense Joint Science and Technology Office for Chemical and Biological Defense.
By joining forces with the CBRNE Industry Group, Tetramer positions itself at the forefront of innovation in protective materials. This partnership not only accelerates the development of practical solutions but also underscores Tetramer’s commitment to developing advanced materials that ensure safety and security in challenging environments.
