Part of our team is headed to the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA)’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Conference in Baltimore July 26-29 to share our ongoing work. The microbead technology the Tetramer team has developed not only absorbs but, more importantly, decontaminates chemical warfare agents on contact. The beads are being developed to incorporate in chemical protective fabrics in MOPP gear to improve warfighters’ safety in the field and they are also suitable for use in industrial HAZMAT suits.
