VBASE® Oil Company was formed to commercialize high performance, environmentally acceptable industrial base oils and lubricants developed by Tetramer Technologies® . Tetramer’s team of scientists and engineers worked for nearly a decade, partly under DOE and USDA funding, to design a new molecular structure. The result is VBASE Oil Company – new class of synthetic esters that outperforms traditional products without compromising the need for environmentally acceptable and sustainable lubricating solutions.
VBASE® lubes and base oils are a new class of simple synthetic esters exhibiting superior high temperature and hydrolytic stability with exceptional cold weather performance. VBASE expands the availability of saturated simple synthetic esters to ISO Viscosity Grades from 46 to 100 with excellent lubricity and all-season performance.
VBASE lubes and base oils meet and exceed the properties of conventional petroleum-based products and are also biobased, biodegradable, and non toxic.
