Tetramer Wins Navy Contract to Develop Low Loss Optical Polymers

Tetramer Technologies has been awarded a Phase I Navy SBIR contract (N00014-14-P-1052)  to develop commercially attractive, thermoplastic optical polymers that have ultra-low scattering loss for use in high end optics. Because these polymers will have decreased light scattering through the polymer lens, optical devices that use them will improved imaging capabilities, adding value to Tetramer customers.

These materials, by increasing resolution and by reducing the size of the optical materials, have many commercial applications and benefits, such as increasing the ...

Tetramer Wins Phase II Contract for F-18 Materials Development

Tetramer has been awarded a Navy Phase II SBIR contract to develop new, commercially attractive adhesives that have a unique combination UV-curability, refractive index, and extended shelf life in the uncured state. Tetamer® Index-Matching Adhesive (TIMA™) exhibits rapid UV-curing and maximum shelf life stability making it easier to store and use in  optical adhesive applications. This work directly supports repair of avionic fiber systems in forward operating bases where refrigeration is often unavailable to transport and store materials. TIMA is ...
